Container Portable Bathrooms and Toilet Blocks

These are not chemical cabins. The portable bathrooms in this range are steel container buildings with plumbed fixtures inside, built to be connected to real water and real drainage and left in place for a season or for years. They suit construction sites, farms and ranches, campgrounds, parks, event grounds, workshops and yards where staff currently have nowhere decent to go.

Stock moves between used, new and refurbished units, so the exact mix changes. What tends to be available:

  • 2+1 toilet blocks with partitioned cubicles, a practical size for a small crew.
  • Anti-vandal 4+1 blocks in a 24ft shell, built for exposed sites with steel shutters over the glazing.
  • Combined site offices with an integrated toilet, typically 13ft and 16ft, giving you a desk and a washroom in one drop.
  • Laundry and washroom buildings fitted with a laundry tub and a workbench.

Common features across the range include jackleg corner supports for levelling, double-glazed windows, steel shutters, partitioned stalls and hard-wearing internal linings. Every unit is inspected before it leaves.

What You Must Arrange Before a Portable Bathroom Arrives

This is the part people underestimate, so read it carefully. Atlas sells these units as supplied. We do not install them, connect them, dig for them or pull permits. A portable bathroom is only useful once someone else has done the following:

  1. Water supply. A potable line run to the unit, sized and protected against freezing for your climate.
  2. Drainage. A connection to sewer, or to a septic system with capacity for the extra load. Adding fixtures to an existing septic field is not always allowed.
  3. A licensed plumber. In most jurisdictions the supply and waste connections must be made and signed off by a licensed trade.
  4. Electrical work. Lighting, heating, extraction and any water heater need a licensed electrician.
  5. Permits and inspection. Local building and health departments usually treat a plumbed washroom as a permanent fixture. Requirements differ from one county to the next, so ask before you order.
  6. A level base. Jacklegs adjust for modest variation. They do not fix a slope or soft ground. Compacted gravel, piers or a slab is the right answer.

None of that is unusual for a plumbed building. It just needs to be lined up in advance, because a washroom sitting unconnected in a yard helps nobody.

Delivery and Access

Units travel on specialized tilt-bed trailers to the lower 48 states, at one flat shipping rate per order shown at checkout. The driver needs a firm approach, overhead clearance and space to tilt and slide the unit off. Think about where the plumbing stubs will land relative to the final position, since moving a set unit afterwards means hiring lifting equipment. Buyers in Arkansas and nearby states can read more on the Arkansas delivery page.

Ordering, Condition and Returns

Used units are sold on condition, so read each listing and ask if anything is unclear. Order handling takes one to three business days and transit usually runs three to seven. Payment at checkout is by direct bank transfer. A 30-day return policy applies, with return freight and a possible restocking fee. Once shipped you can follow progress on the order tracking page.

For condition grades and site planning, see the buyers guide. If you need a workspace without plumbing, look at container offices, or get in touch with your site details.
