Twenty-eight feet of enclosed aluminum is a serious commitment, so what goes inside it matters as much as the shell. The defining feature on this 2026 ATC ROM 550 is LifeTrac: a wall track system that accepts cabinets, seating, hooks, helmet racks and shelving, and lets you move or remove all of it without drilling a single new hole. Outside, .040 Silverfrost screwless aluminum gives it a heavier skin than the entry-level gauge and a flat, unbroken flank. A 56-inch extended triple tube tongue with two bogey wheels, a beavertail with a 24-inch stoneguard and a rear spoiler carrying three LED lights round out an exterior built around loading a low car and then driving it a long way.

Racers, collectors and mobile operators are the natural fit here. The 4,000 lb ramp door with a transition flap takes the drop out of the ramp joint, which is the difference between loading a lowered car cleanly and scraping a splitter on the lip.

Sizing this one is straightforward but unforgiving. Take your longest vehicle, add the beavertail section you lose to the ramp angle, and then subtract whatever the front cabinet occupies. Most owners find a 28-footer carries one car plus a real work area, or two small cars nose to tail with almost nothing spare. The 6,000 lb axles give you the margin for a heavy car plus tools, but a fully loaded 28 ft aluminum hauler is still a three-quarter-ton or one-ton job.

The 50-amp package with A/C and awning prep is the part worth planning around. It means you can add climate control and shade later without opening walls, so decide now roughly where a generator or shore power connection will live. On delivery, cycle the escape door with the wheel cover removed, load-test the ramp hinge, and check the spread axle tires wear evenly on the first few hundred miles.
