Description
The Open Deck a Lawn Crew Loads Twenty Times a Day
A landscape trailer earns its money in seconds saved, not features listed. This new 2024 Reiser landscape trailer, factory model L1277-7K in black, is built around that idea: a 6.5 by 12 foot deck low enough to load quickly, a ramp gate that drops without a fight, and a payload figure of 5,100 lbs that most crews will never trouble.
It fits lawn and grounds crews, small landscape contractors, and property owners who move a mower, a wheelbarrow and a load of mulch on the same run. Twin braked axles mean it tows calmly behind the truck you already have rather than demanding an upgrade.
The Ramp Gate Does the Heavy Lifting
The four-foot gate at the rear is removable, not just foldable, and that distinction matters more than the spec sheet suggests. Walk-behinds, aerators and hand trucks roll straight up it rather than being lifted, which saves backs across a long day and shaves a minute off every stop on the route. Lift it off entirely and you can load from the side or slide long material on tailgate-style when the shape of the load calls for it. Pressure-treated decking handles mud, fertilizer and constant boots, while stake-pocket tie-downs give you anchor points wherever the load happens to sit.

Measure your mower deck before you settle on 12 feet. Two mid-size walk-behinds and a trimmer rack fit comfortably; a 60 in zero-turn plus a second machine starts to use every inch, and you still want turning clearance at the gate. The 2-5/16 in coupler needs a matching ball, which trips up buyers who assumed 2 in, and a 7,000 lb GVWR means a brake controller in the truck is not optional. Because this unit is new, the only pre-trip items are tire pressure, a wiring check and a turn of the jack.
