Description

An Aluminum Hybrid Built for Salt, Slush and Two Sleds

Road salt is what actually kills snowmobile trailers, and this 2022 Sno Pro 101×12 Hybrid 2.0 is built out of the one material that ignores it. The frame, the skin and the hardware are aluminum, so a winter of brine and cinders leaves it looking the same in April as it did in December. At 1,090 lb dry it tows behind far more vehicles than a steel box of the same size, and the 2,990 lb GVWR still leaves 1,900 lb for two machines and the gear that follows them.

The hybrid layout is the reason to look at this one rather than a plain enclosed box. You get a low-profile enclosed body that keeps weather, grit and prying eyes off the sleds, paired with a tapered rear ramp door that drops to a shallow enough angle to drive on without bottoming a running board. Spring assist takes the weight out of lifting it again at the end of a cold day.

Inside, a full-length slide track with ski tie-down bars pins both machines down over rough pavement, and the 26 in by 58 in side access door means fuel jugs, helmets and a tote of gear can come and go without opening the ramp at all. Interior LED domes on a wall switch handle the loading that always seems to happen after dark.

Measure before you buy, and measure with the windshields on. The 61 in rear opening is the number that decides whether a tall crossover sled walks in cleanly or needs the windshield pulled, and the 64 in interior height governs what you can stand a set of skis against. On payload, weigh two fueled machines plus suits, helmets, a gas can and a toolbox against the 1,900 lb figure rather than the dry sled weights in a brochure.

Two crossover or trail sleds fit this box comfortably. When it arrives, cycle the ramp spring a few times and roll the torsion axle through a corner or two to confirm everything moves the way it should.

Delivery to the Lower 48 is free and typically lands four to ten days after your bank transfer clears; Puerto Rico is a flat $550. Our shipping terms spell out how the handoff works, and the rest of the trailer and chassis category is worth a scroll if you want to compare hybrids side by side.
