Description
Full 102 Inches of Deck, No Wheel Wells in the Way
A deckover puts the floor above the tires instead of between them, and that single design choice is why this trailer ends up on so many contractor shortlists. The 2024 Diamond C DEC20724x102 arrives new in black powder coat with a 14,900 lb gross rating, 4,390 lbs of its own weight and 10,510 lbs left over for the load. Across the whole 102 in width there is nothing to steer a tractor tire around and nothing for a pallet fork to catch.
That width suits wide implements, skid steers with oversized buckets, hay equipment and stacked pallets. A 48 in dovetail with 72 in flip-knee ramps flattens the approach angle for low machines, and retractable steps at the front let you climb onto the deck properly rather than scrambling over the rail with a chain in one hand.
The structure is heavy by design: an 8 in, 10 lb per foot I-beam main rail with 3 in I-beam crossmembers on 16 in centers, topped with full Blackwood decking. Two 7K electric drum axles ride on six-leaf slipper springs. Storage is thought through too, with a lidded V-tongue box up front, an underslung 14 in x 14 in x 42 in toolbox and a slide track with a welded ratchet, so binders and straps live on the trailer instead of the truck bed.

The trade-off with any deckover is height. You gain the full width but you also start the load about a tire’s height further off the ground, which matters for tall equipment, low branches and anything with an enclosed cab. Work out your total loaded height before you plan a route, and treat the dovetail as the deciding factor for low-clearance machines rather than the deck length alone.
Against the 10,510 lb payload, confirm the rated capacity of your hitch, your receiver and your truck’s rear axle, not just the sticker on the trailer. On delivery, run the brakes up and down through a few stops and fold the flip-knee ramps out and back to confirm they seat cleanly.
Every trailer we sell ships free to the Lower 48 and usually reaches the customer within 4 to 10 days of the bank transfer clearing; Puerto Rico is a flat $550. More heavy-haul options sit in our container chassis and trailers category, the wider range is in the full catalog, and you can always request a delivered quote.
