Extra Room Where Big Horses Need It
Three-horse bumper pulls have a reputation for being tight, and it is usually deserved. This 1999 Elite Custom is the exception buyers with big-bodied horses go looking for. At 20 ft long, 7 ft 2 in. tall and 7 ft 2 in. wide, with 13 ft 6 in. of usable interior, it gives horses room to spread their feet and balance instead of bracing against a wall for the whole trip. That extra width and height is the reason warmbloods and heavier stock travel better in a trailer like this one.
The hardware backs up the dimensions. Heavier-duty 8-lug axles carry the load, the doors, partitions and drop-downs all work as they should, and the lights have been confirmed operational. New tires are fitted, including a matching spare, so a flat on the road does not leave you hunting for an odd size at a truck stop.
Tack storage is handled sensibly rather than elaborately. The tack room includes a boot and tack storage box plus bridle hooks, and the saddle rack rotates in and out so you are not wrestling a saddle around a fixed arm in a narrow space. A factory hay rack and feed bags cover feeding on longer hauls.

The trade-off with a roomier three-horse is weight. Make sure your tow vehicle is rated for the loaded trailer and that your hitch and wiring suit an 8-lug rig rather than a light two-horse; a half-ton at the limit will feel the difference on grades. On a trailer of this vintage the checks that matter are the floor and crossmembers, the brakes, the bearings and the coupler fit against your ball. None of that is unusual for a used horse trailer, but it is worth doing properly before a long haul.
Compared with a gooseneck of similar capacity, a bumper pull hitches to a standard ball in minutes, stores in a shorter space and does not tie up your truck bed, which is why many riders stay with the format even as they move up in horse count.
Freight to the Lower 48 is included in the Atlas price, Puerto Rico is a flat $550, and orders generally arrive 4 to 10 days after a bank transfer clears.
