Description
Heavy Steel, Short Box, Nothing Superfluous
WW built a following among working horse owners by making trailers that take abuse and keep going, and this 2007 2HSL is a plain example of the approach. It is a straight-load bumper pull with two stalls and a front dressing room, and there is very little on it that can go wrong because there is very little on it that is not structural.
Ranchers, working riders and anyone whose trailer lives outdoors rather than under cover tend to appreciate that. Steel of this weight takes knocks from loading, from gates and from equipment that aluminum would dent, which is a large part of why used WW trailers hold their value with people who use them daily.
Right-Sized for Short Hauls and Long Ones
The 12 ft box keeps the overall footprint tight, so reversing down a farm lane or parking at a busy show grounds is far less of an exercise than it is with a 16 or 20 foot trailer. At roughly 7 ft of interior height there is about 21 hands of vertical room, comfortable for most average-sized horses, and the 7 ft outside width keeps it tracking neatly behind a properly rated truck or SUV. The dressing room, on a 2 ft short wall and 7 ft long wall, gives saddles, bridles and travel gear a dry, secure home rather than riding loose with the animals, which is safer for both the tack and the horses.

Steel is the material to inspect most carefully on a used trailer, because corrosion works from the inside of the floor outward where you cannot see it. Get under it, press the floor boards, and check where the frame meets the body. Then run the lights, test the brakes and read the tire date codes. The 7,000 lb GVWR is the ceiling for trailer, horses and gear combined, so weigh that against your tow vehicle rather than against the 2,800 lb empty figure. All measurements and weights here are approximate and offered as a general guide.
