Description
Forty-Four Feet of Enclosed Aluminum for Collectors and Racers
This is the top of the enclosed hauling pyramid. The 2025 ATC ROM 500 runs 44 feet of aluminum gooseneck body on three 7,000 lb spread Dexter torsion axles, and it is specified the way people order these when the cargo is worth more than the trailer: Black-Out Package, .040 black screwless exterior, hydraulic jack, tapered nose and a beavertail rear finished with an LED-lit wing.
Spread torsion axles are the reason a trailer this long stays calm. Spacing the axles distributes the load across more of the frame, torsion suspension absorbs pavement joints independently at each wheel, and the tapered nose keeps the whole rig from fighting crosswinds on an interstate run. Aluminum construction holds the weight down against a steel equivalent and takes corrosion off the maintenance list entirely.
The interior is finished for people who work out of the trailer as much as they tow with it. Insulated screwless aluminum walls and ceiling make a sealed, quiet box, black coin flooring shrugs off tire marks and spilled fluids, and the gooseneck riser is carpeted in grey for gear that should not slide around above the truck bed. The premium escape door with a removable fender is what lets a driver get out of a car parked tight to the front wall.

Two measurements decide whether this trailer works for you. The first is the truck: a gooseneck of this length and axle count puts real weight in the bed, so check the bed-mounted hitch rating and the truck payload sticker, not just the tow rating. The second is the roof. Approximately 7 ft 5 in. of interior height clears most cars comfortably, but lifted trucks, tall roof boxes and anything on a lift kit should be measured with the tires you actually haul on.
It is also worth planning where it lives. Forty-four feet plus a truck needs a pull-through space or a wide approach to back into, and the beavertail rear that makes low cars load easily is the same feature that will drag on a steep driveway apron. Get those two things sorted before delivery day and the rest is straightforward.
