Ramp-Free Loading in a 20-Foot Package
Ask anyone who loads a skid steer twice a day what they hate about a standard equipment trailer, and the answer is the ramps. They are heavy, they pinch fingers, they never sit square, and the approach angle still bottoms out a low machine. A full tilt deck removes the whole argument: the 2024 Rice PTHD20 settles its deck to the ground, you drive on at a shallow angle, and the deck levels itself as the weight rolls forward.
Two 8,000 lb cambered EZ Lube axles with electric brakes sit under a 16,000 lb GVWR, and a 4,080 lb dry weight leaves 11,920 lb of payload. The 6 in channel tongue and main frame with 3 in formed channel crossmembers on 16 in centers keep the deck from flexing where a track loader concentrates its weight.
Twenty feet is the length that suits contractors running one mid-size machine plus an attachment, or a rental operator who needs to swap between a mini excavator one day and a compact tractor the next without wrestling ramps in the dark.

Deck length is the spec people get wrong most often on a tilt. Measure your machine at its longest, then add the room an attachment takes up in front of it plus enough clearance behind the rear axle to chain down properly without the straps pulling at a bad angle. If your loader is right on the edge of 20 feet with a bucket fitted, the extra two feet of a 22-footer is cheaper than discovering the problem on delivery day.
Compared with a stationary-deck equipment trailer at the same rating, a tilt gives up a little usable length to the pivot and gains a loading process one person can do alone. Worth knowing: a tilt deck needs a flat, firm surface to work properly, and on soft ground the tail can dig in. On arrival, cycle the tilt, check the cam lock engages fully, and confirm your truck and hitch are rated for a loaded 16K bumper-pull.
Every order includes free delivery to the Lower 48; Puerto Rico ships at a flat $550 and most trailers arrive 4 to 10 days after your bank transfer clears.
