Description
An Aluminum Deckover That Spends Its Rating on Cargo
Most equipment trailers waste a chunk of their capacity hauling their own steel. Cargo Pro attacks that problem directly on the UDO101x14LD by building the frame from aluminum, which drops the empty weight to roughly 1,238 lbs and leaves 4,762 lbs of the 6,000 lb GVWR available for the thing you actually want to move. This new 2024 unit is a deckover, so the platform rides above the wheels and gives you the full 101 inches of width from rail to rail with no fender boxes interrupting the load.
That combination points squarely at landscapers, small contractors and anyone hauling a compact tractor, a UTV or pallets of material behind a half-ton. A lighter trailer is easier on brakes and fuel, and the aluminum frame is not going to spend its life shedding rust scale onto your driveway. The wood deck is 5/4 in. pressure-treated planking, which grips tires and boots far better than diamond plate when it is wet.
Securement and Everyday Handling
Six surface-mount D-rings and a rub rail with stake pockets give you more tie-down geometry than a bare deck, so an awkward load can be crossed and choked properly instead of strapped wherever the rail allows. Twin 3,500 lb torsion axles carry it all with no leaf springs to sag or shackle bushings to replace, and the 1,500 lb flip-up wheel jack takes the fight out of hitching on gravel. LED lighting and a 7-way round cord keep the electrical side simple.

Before ordering, check two things on your tow vehicle. The coupler is a 2 in. straight pull, so your ball and mount have to match, and a deckover rides higher than a between-the-fenders trailer, which means a level tow may need a drop or a rise on the hitch that a low-deck trailer never asked for. Work out your machine’s operating weight with attachments and fluids rather than its shipping weight; a compact tractor with a loader and a ballast box climbs toward that 4,762 lb ceiling faster than the brochure figure suggests.
